Élise and Céline Marquis spent over ten years at the highest levels of Parisian and international luxury hospitality. Not in management offices. On the ground, in the rooms, with the clients : learning what discretion, anticipation, and genuine care for a space actually require in practice.
When they founded Briance in 2019, they brought that standard with them. It is not a method they apply. It is how they think about a home.
Élise trained at the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, one of the world’s most respected hospitality schools, before beginning her career at the Mandarin Oriental in London. She then joined the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris, followed by the Relais & Châteaux group.
Across these years, Élise developed a precise understanding of what it means to care for an exceptional space : the materials, the details, the atmosphere that makes a residence feel genuinely looked after rather than merely cleaned. She brings to every home an eye for quality.
Her passion for interior design, combined with years spent in some of the most beautiful properties in the world, means she notices things others miss and addresses them before you ever have to ask.

Céline studied at the Institut Paul Bocuse in France before joining the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, where she worked across Hong Kong, San Francisco, and Paris. She later joined the Accor Hotel Group as Executive Housekeeper, a role that placed her at the centre of everything that keeps an exceptional property running precisely as it should.
Her understanding of residential management is both technical and deeply human. She knows what it takes to coordinate a team, oversee a property to an uncompromising standard, and maintain the kind of consistency that clients notice not because anything stands out but because nothing ever goes wrong.
Céline also holds a professional coaching certification, which shapes how she builds relationships with clients and their homes: with patience, attentiveness, and a genuine interest in understanding what matters to each person.
